Why Subscribe?
Before we get into the reasons you should subscribe, let’s first discuss what to expect from “The Politics of Pit Bull Dogs” substack.
To begin, my name is Jeff Theman and I am the creative behind the one-man video production company, River Fire Films, based in Cleveland, Ohio and founded in 2007. The primary focus for this entity is to produce quality and engaging documentary films which serve a larger purpose.
Most of these projects include dogs and/or our relationship with dogs, because I’ve recognized how impactful, fulfilling, and beneficial that bond is to our existence. This includes all dogs.
As for why you should become a free or paid subscriber to ‘The Politics of Pit Bull Dogs’…For nearly the last 20 years I have extensively researched the development of these dogs and the parallel subtopics most often synonymous with them - dogfighting and breed specific legislation.
My expertise is the era of the 1980s and 90s, which was the most volatile time for the dogs with sweeping legislation being passed across the United States, UK, and other countries around the world that regulated the ownership of them.
So, if you are interested in the history of pit bull dogs, specifically, but also an honest assessment of our relationship with all dogs, please consider becoming a subscriber today.
